Inside The Valley (insidethevalley.com) is published by Aaron Dotterer PLLC d/b/a Dott Real Estate Group, brokered by Real Broker, 2162 E Williams Field Rd Ste 111, Gilbert, AZ 85295. This page explains what we collect when you use the site and what we do with it.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you request a guide, join the newsletter, book a call, or contact us, we collect what you enter — typically your name, email address, and phone number, plus anything you choose to tell us about what you’re looking for.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics and advertising tags — currently the Meta Pixel and Google tag — that record pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as button taps. These tools may set cookies. We do not see your name or contact details from these tools; they see aggregate and pseudonymous activity.
How we use it
To send you what you asked for. To follow up if you asked us to. To send occasional newsletters about Phoenix Valley development and real estate, from which you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. To understand which stories and pages people actually read, so we publish more of them. To measure and improve our advertising.
Text messages
If you give us a mobile number and consent to texts, we may text you about the thing you requested. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or service.
Who we share it with
We use third-party service providers to run the site and stay in touch — web hosting, email and CRM software, form and scheduling tools, and the analytics and advertising platforms named above. They process data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
Instagram and Facebook comments and messages
When you comment on, message, or reply to a story from one of our Instagram accounts or Facebook Pages (such as @thevalley.radar, @thevalley.realestate, or @aaron.dotterer), Meta shares some information with us so we can reply. This includes:
- your username, display name, and profile picture;
- the text of your comment or message, any attachments you send, and when you sent it;
- which post, story, or keyword you responded to;
- public information on your profile, such as your bio, if you message us or comment a keyword.
We never receive your password, and Meta does not give us your email address or phone number. We only have those if you choose to send them to us.
How we use it
- to reply to you, including automatic replies that send the link or information you asked for;
- to keep a record of the conversation so we can follow up on what you asked about;
- to add you to our customer records (CRM) so we can help with your home search or sale.
Some replies are sent automatically or written with the help of AI tools, and a person reviews our conversations.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell this information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run these conversations: Meta (Instagram and Facebook), Metricool (social media tools), our database and automation hosting, our CRM systems, and our AI provider. Each one only uses it to provide its service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep conversation records for 24 months after our last contact with you unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Deleting your information
You can ask us to delete everything we hold from your Instagram or Facebook comments and messages at any time. See our data deletion instructions.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from email at any time. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP. You can control cookies through your browser settings. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email Aaron@dottrealestate.com.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change, and update the date at the top when we do.
